Srinagar, Aug 14: Jammu and Kashmir reported 563 fresh covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus during the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

They said that 58 cases were reported from Jammu division and 505 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 473782. Among the cases, 173056 are from Jammu division and 300726 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they said, Jammu reported 39 cases, Udhampur 5, Rajouri 2, Doda 2, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 3, Ramban 4, Reasi 0, Srinagar 129, Baramulla 130, Budgam 58, Pulwama 12, Kupwara 80, Anantnag 60, Bandipora 8, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 16 and Shopian 3.

There was no death due to the virus during the time. So far 4777 people have succumbed to the virus and among them include 2346 from Jammu division and 2431 from the Valley.

Besides, they said, 679 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—75 from Jammu division and 604 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 4463 active cases— 722 in Jammu and 3741 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. Also 36952 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered in J&K during the time, they added.
