J&K reports 383 covid-19 cases, no death

Srinagar, July 25: Jammu and Kashmir reported 383 covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours while there was no death due to the virus during the time, officials said on Monday.

146 cases were reported from Jammu division and 237 from Kashmir division, taking the overall tally to 460558, they said.

Among the total cases, 170067 are from Jammu division and 290491 from Kashmir, they said.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases, they said, Jammu reported 98 cases,  Srinagar 105, Baramulla 60, Anantnag 25, Rajouri 19, Udhampur 17, Pulwama 13, Budgam 10, Kupwara 9, Kulgam  7, Kathua and Bandipora 6 each, Kishtwar 3, Samba and Shopian 2 cases each and Doda 1.

There no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, they said.

So far 4763 people have succumbed to the virus—2337 in Jammu and 2426 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 243 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—157 from Jammu division and 86 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 3379 active cases— 1715 in Jammu and 1664 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 9806 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
