Chairperson, J&K Waqf Board Visits Shrine of Baba Payam Ud Din Reshi (RA), takes Stock of developmental works

Baramulla, July 23: Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Darakshan Andrabi accompanied by  Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar and other senior officers of the district today visited the Ziarat of Baba Payam Ud Din Reshi (RA) and took stock of the Developmental Works for beautification of the shrine and its sourandings. The chairperson inspected the developmental scenario of the locality around the Shrine and the works approved and in progress for improving facilities for local people.

While interacting with the members of Management Committee of the Shrine, the Chairperson enquired about the routine religious rituals being held in the Shrine and adherence to Covid Appropriate Behaviour.

The Chairperson urged the members of the Management Committee to ensure strict adherence to the Covid-19 SOPs to counter the spread Covid-19 infection. She also urged for ensuring that devotees paying obeisance at the Shrine are wearing masks.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Bla exhorted upon the  officers of all the concerned departments to ensure all basic amenities at the Shrine and the nearby localities so that people do not face any problem. She also directed SMC Ward officers for maintaining cleanliness in the area around the shrine.
