Face Masks Made Mandatory In Public Places In Srinagar

Srinagar, July 19: Administration in Srinagar and Ganderbal besides Bandipora has made use of face masks mandatory in public places in the central Kashmir district with immediate effect.
In an order Deputy Commissioner Srinagar underlined that it has become imperative to ensure strict implementation of all the preventive measures such as usage face masks and maintenance of the social distance in all public places to minimize spread of the covid-19.
Subsequent the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz has ordered use of face masks compulsory at all the public places in Srinagar with immediate effect.
The administration in also made use of face masks in public places mandatory.
“In the interest of Health and Wellbeing of the general public, I, Farooq Ahmad Baba, JKAS, CEO, District Disaster Management Authority / Additional District Magistrate, Ganderbal, in exercise of powers vested in me under Section-34 of Disaster Management Act, 2005, do hereby order that the use of masks shall be compulsory at public places In District Ganderbal, with immediate effect, till further orders,” Baba said in an order.
“Moreover, all District/ Sectoral Officers shall ensure usage of masks by all officers/ officials in the offices.” A similar order was issued by the District Magistrate Bandipora.
