152 Covid-19 Cases, One Death In J&K

Srinagar, July 18 : Jammu and Kashmir reported 152 fresh covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, taking the overall caseload to 458184, even as there was one death due to the pathogen during the time, officials said on Monday.

85 cases were reported from Jammu division and 67 from Kashmir division, they said.

Giving district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 57 cases, Jammu 64, Baramulla 5, Udhampur 11, Doda 1, Kathua 4, Samba 3, Poonch 2, Budgam 1, Pulwama 2 and Anantnag 2.
Among the total cases, 168286 are from Jammu division and 288898 from Kashmir, they said.

There was one death from Jammu region due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4759 persons have succumbed to the virus—2333 in Jammu and 2426 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 126 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—76 from Jammu division and 50 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 1140 active case— 645 in Jammu and 495 in Kashmir.

The officials told  there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 15479 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
