Srinagar, July 17: Jammu and Kashmir reported 203 fresh covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, taking the overall caseload to 457032, even as there was no death due to the pathogen during the time, officials said on Sunday.

111 cases were reported from Jammu division and 92 from Kashmir division, they said.

Giving district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 91 cases, Jammu 64, Baramulla 12, Udhampur 10, Ganderbal six, Kathua and Anantnag four each, Poonch and Budgam three each, Pulwama two and Doda, Samba and Reasi one each.

Among the total cases, 168090 are from Jammu division and 288739 from Kashmir, they said.

There was no death from Jammu region due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4758 persons have succumbed to the virus—2333 in Jammu and 2425 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 126 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—76 from Jammu division and 50 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 1044 active case— 599 in Jammu and 445 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 2882 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
