Srinagar: Police and army Thursday claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid by killing an infiltrator along Line of Control in Kupwara district.

“During the preceding night, based on a specific input generated by Kupwara police, joint team of Army and Police intercepted an infiltrating group in Saidpora forward area,” police said in a statement, adding, “The joint team has neutralised one infiltrator. Search is still going on. Further details shall follow.”
