Poonch, July 10: Bodies of two minor girls, who drowned while taking a bath in Mandheri River near Dhaki Bridge in Poonch district, were recovered on Sunday.

The girls along with a 9-year-old boy had drowned in the river yesterday evening. However rescuers were able to evacuate the boy, Azhar, in time. After hectic efforts bodies of two girls Rifit Bi daughter of Sarfaraz and Aliya Bi daughter of Liyaqat Khan were recovered by the rescuers comprising policemen, civilians and army personnel.  A police officer said that the bodies were recovered near Chajjala village, 5 km from Mendhar town.
