J&K Reports 22 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, June 16: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded 22 new Covid-19 even as there was no death due to the pathogen, officials said.

They said that 17 cases were reported from Jammu, three from Kupwara and one each from Srinagar and Udhampur districts respectively, taking the overall tally to 454420—166594 in Jammu division and 287826 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, nine Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—seven from Jammu division and two from Kashmir. So far 449542 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 126— 91 in Jammu and 35 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 5094 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
