J&K reports 6 new covid-19 case, no death

Srinagar, June 1: Jammu and Kashmir reported six new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

They said that all the six cases were reported from Jammu district, taking the overall tally to 454255—166477 in Jammu division and 287778 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 04 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—all from Jammu division. So far 449447 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 56— 45 in Jammu and 11 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 7243 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
