Kupwara: Two persons fell unconscious inside a well while cleaning it in Potashi area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

 

The incident took place around noon when the duo, Abdul Quyoom Sofi (37) and Rafeeq Ahmad Wangoo (40), both locals, were cleaning the well and fell unconscious apparently consuming some gas, official sources told.

 

One person namely Tariq Ahmad Mir, also a local, saw them falling unconscious and immediately entered the well and with the help of others rescued them, they said. The duo was immediately shifted to Sub District hospital Kupwara and are under treatment, they added. (GNS)
