5 persons injured in grenade blast in Rainawari: Police

Srinagar, Mar 23: Five persons including a policeman and paramilitary CRPF trooper besides two off-duty traffic cops and a civilian were injured in a grenade blast at Rainawari area of Central Kamir’s Srinagar district on Wednesday evening.
Police in a statement said that militants lobbed the grenade on naka party in Rainawari here and five persons including a CRPF trooper and a policeman suffered minor splinter injuries along with three other passerby persons including two off-duty traffic men riding a motorcycle and one civilian.
“All are fully stable and completely out of danger. Kindly don’t spread wrong figures by talking to unreliable sources,” police said in a statement.
Meanwhile, police said, whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attacker(s).
