Srinagar, Feb 23: Moderate to heavy snowfall has led to cancellation of more flights at the Srinagar ‘International’ airport on Wednesday.

After (G8-266/267 G8-357/358  AI-3425/3426), UK 611/612, SG 8374, SG 8475, G8-191/193, G8-911/913, 6E-5076/5079 and 6E-2363/2364), flights—(SG-161 SG-945 UK-643 UK-644 6E-609 6E-137 6E-224 6E-6738)’ have been also cancelled, Airport Authority of India said in a tweet. “All flights except G8-268 of GoFirst airlines have been cancelled. We will update about G8–268 later,” it said, adding, “All other flights of all airlines are delayed.”

It said that the snowfall had stopped at about 1230 p.m. and snow clearing operations was resumed “with renewed effort but the snowfall has started again.”

Officials said that many flights more are expected to be cancelled. However a final call would be taken by the authorities concerned, they said. While a number of flights have been cancelled already, AAI has urged all commuters to watch for updates regarding operationalising or otherwise of the flights.
