J&K Logs 151 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death Reported

Srinagar, Feb 20: Jammu and Kashmir reported 151 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest single-day count in 49 days, even as there was no death due to the virus, officials said on Sunday.

They said 90 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 61 from Kashmir Division, taking the overall tally to 452306.

Giving district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 29 cases, Baramulla 5, Budgam 4, Pulwama 7, Kupwara 8, Anantnag 3, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 3, Shopian 0, Jammu 43, Udhampur 7, Rajouri 2, Doda 25, Kathua 4, Samba 0, Kishtwar 4, Poonch 0, Ramban 5 and Reasi 0.

A few of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory at GMC Anantnag and include male (28) from Imamsahib, female (42) from Shangus Ang, male (65) from Delhi.

There was no death either from Jammu or Kashmir in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4746 persons have succumbed to the virus—2324 in Jammu and 2422 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 496 Covid-19 patients—228 from Jammu and 268 from Valley— recovered during the time. So far 445611 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 1949— 1030 in Jammu and 919 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 10370 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
