Srinagar, Jan 29: Police on Saturday said that there was no grenade blast at “Maharaja Bazar/Mehjooj Nagar”, terming it mere rumour.

“There is rumour about grenade attack in Srinagar today at maharaja bazar/Mehjooj nagar. It is clarified that no such attack has taken place,” a police spokesman said in a statement . “Media fraternity is requested to verify news before spreading it,” he said, adding, “. Such irresponsible reporting can cause panic among citizens of Srinagar.”
