Gulmarg: A local tourist guide has been found dead on Thursday, a day after he went missing in the snow-clad Gulmarg tourist resort.

As per reports, he had gone missing on his way to Gulmarg from Kangdori at the ski-resort in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, prompting the authorities to launch a massive search on Thursday.

Officials said that the tourist guide identified as Firdous Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat of Katipora had lost  his way to Gulmarg from Kangdori, the high altitude area covered under snow. Subsequently the authorities launched a rescue operation to trace him.

His body was found and handed  over to the family after police carried out medico-legal formalities.
