Shopian: One militant has been neutralised in the encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Kilbal, Zaipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday afternoon.

Police spokesman tweeted that in the ongoing encounter one militant has been killed and the anti militancy operation is stil on going.

Earlier, a joint team of Police and Army laid corn and search operation in Kilbal, Zaipora area of Shopian district on Saturday morning.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
