Srinagar: District development Chairperson Ganderbal Nuzhat Ishfaq on Wednesday visited different areas of her constituency which include Watlabagh, Tehsilbagh, Takiya Theeru and Wahidpora.

“In order to provide best possible infrastructure and fullfill the long pending demand to the residents of Tehsilbagh and Watalbagh DDC Chairperson Ganderbal, along with officials of R&B, including a large number of people kickstarted Black topping works at Tehsilbagh Watalbagh Road,” they said.

During her visit to Wahidpora , DDC Chairperson Ganderbal conducted an extensive tour along the Wahidpora Canal to inspect the progress of work and review the issues raised in making the canal through to provide irrigation water to the farmers well in time.

On the occassion, people express their gratitude to Nuzhat Ishfaq, Former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, Secretar Jal Shakti M.Raju,Chief Engineer and other officers for their timely intervention and immediate redressal of their demand for solving their irrigation problems and recharging the canal on time.

Nuzhat, according to the press statement, during her visit hold interaction with the residents and listen to their grievances while assuring them full support.

Most of the people were concerned about water supply schemes by PHE department and demanded macdamization of Theeru-Wahidpora, Takiya Watalbagh and other inner link roads.

Meanwhile, Nuzhat also informed people about deadly virus covid-19 and precaution which needs to be taken by the people. Interacting with the people, she informed them that they should wear face masks, and clean their hands repeatedly with water and soap.
