24 travelers among 177 fresh covid-19 cases, no death reported in J&K

Srinagar, Dec 2: 24 travelers were among 177 fresh covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

37 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 140 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 337263.

There was no death due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4477 persons—2185 in Jammu and 2292 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 58 cases, Baramulla 29, Budgam 13, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 11, Anantnag 11, Bandipora 7, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 15, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 2, Ramban 0 and Reasi 18.

Moreover, 167 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 36 from Jammu Division and 131 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 331089 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1697—382 in Jammu and 1315 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The officials also informed that 65869 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
