Jammu & Kashmir Reports 2 Covid-19 Deaths, 145 New Cases

Srinagar, Nov 28: Jammu and Kashmir reported two deaths due to the covid-19 while 145 persons tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

Among the fresh cases, 18 were reported from Jammu Division and 127 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 336531.

There were two deaths— both from Kashmir division— due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4475 persons—2185 in Jammu and 2290in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials said that Srinagar reported 61 cases, Baramulla 31, Budgam 5, Pulwama 7, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 7, Ganderbal 7, Kulgam 0, Shopian 1, Jammu 4, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 2, Doda 2, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 1 and Reasi 7.

Moreover, 209 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 25 from Jammu Division and 184 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 330398 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1658—273 in Jammu and 1385 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The officials also informed that 19152 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
