Jammu and Kashmir Reports 2 Covid-19 Deaths, 168 Fresh Cases

Srinagar, Nov 17: Jammu and Kashmir reported 168 fresh covid-19 cases while two persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

Among the fresh cases, 27 were reported from Jammu Division and 141 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 334600.

There were two deaths, both from the Jammu, due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4457—2181 in Jammu and 2276 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials said that Srinagar reported 71 cases, Baramulla 29, Budgam 12, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 7, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 7, Ganderbal 10, Kulgam 10, Shopian 1, Jammu 13, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 2, Doda 1, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 3and Reasi 4.

Moreover, 197 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, nine from Jammu Division and 188 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 328630 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1513—244 in Jammu and 1269 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 53425 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
