J&K Reports 82 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Oct 9: Jammu and Kashmir reported 82 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

13 among these cases were reported from Jammu Division and 69 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 330434.

There was no death due to the virus. So far 4426—2174 in Jammu and 2252 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 34 cases, Baramulla 8, Budgam 12, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 3, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 4, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 1, Doda 1, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 2.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD and GMC Anantnag’s diagnostic laboratories. The

CD  cases include female (65) from Srinagar, female (60) from Eidgah, female (45) and male (38) from Rajouri, female (80) from Ganderbal, female (34) from Alamgiri Bazar, female (40) from Badamwari, male (50) from Khanyar, female (23) from Hawal, female (8) from Amirabad, male (34) from Shalina Budgam, male (42) from Sumbal Bandipora, male (NA) from Lalbazar, male (40) from Chanapora Srg, female (28) from Old Gagribal Road Srg while GMC Anantnag cases include female (34) from Charsoo.

Moreover, the officials said that 81 more patients have recovered—17 from Jammu Division and 64 from Kashmir. So far 324908 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1100—296 in Jammu and 804 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. The government also informed that 1,50,134 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered in J&K.
