16 Students, 2 Staffers Test Covid-19 Positive In Another School In Poonch

Poonch, Oct 6: Sixteen more students and 2 staff members of Government Higher Secondary School in Sawjiyan area of Mandi in Poonch district have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, officials said.

The development comes a day after thirty-five students and Principal of government Girls Higher secondary School Mandi tested positive for pathogen.

Like the case of Girls Higher secondary School Mandi, the authorities have ordered closure of the School in Sawjiyan also for five days.

Official sources said all these students and two staffers were isolated and informed about measures to be taken while they recuperate.

CEO Poonch Abdul Majid told GNS that the school has been ordered to be closed for five days.
