Jammu and Kashmir Reports 133 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, One Death

Srinagar, Oct 01: Jammu and Kashmir reported 133 fresh covid-19 cases even as there was one death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said 36 of the cases were confirmed from Jammu division and 97 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 329566.

There was one death due to the virus, taking the fatality count to 4423—2173 in Jammu and 2250 in Kashmir.

Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 57 cases, Baramulla 7, Budgam 14, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 8, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 10, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 7, Doda 12, Kathua 3, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A few of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of GMC Anantnag and include male (70) from vishroo Keller, male (24) from Palpora, male (31) and female (30)  from Moominabad and male (29) from GMC Ang.

Moreover, the officials said that 138 more patients have recovered—27 from Jammu Division and 111 from Kashmir. So far 323801 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1339—308 in Jammu and 1031 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
