J&K Reports 155 New Covid-19 Cases, One Death

Srinagar, Sept 17: Jammu and Kashmir reported 155 new covid-19 cases while one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said 22 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 133 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 327621.

There was one, from Kashmir Valley, death due to the virus. So far 4416 people have died— 2169 in Jammu division and 2247 in Kashmir.

Providing the district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 96 cases, Baramulla 8, Budgam 8, Pulwama 3, Kupwara 6, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 7, Kulgam 0, Shopian 1, Jammu 5, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 2, Doda 12, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 3 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of the CD hospital and include two males (35, 45) and female (35) from F B Pompora, female (23) from Rathsuna, male (34) from B B Cantt, NA (50) from NA, two females (48, 71) from NA, female (24) from Barbarshah, male (82) and female (77) from Batmaloo, female (40) from Nowshera, female (42) from Soura, female (38) from SDH Hazratbal, male (72) and female (60) from Shalimar.

Moreover, they said, 135 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—34 from Jammu and 101 from Kashmir. With them, 321765 people have recovered. There are 1440 active cases in J&K—241 in Jammu and 1199 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was one fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
