Srinagar-Jammu highway open, landslide at Chamba being cleared

Srinagar: Srinagar Jammu highway is open for traffic although vehicles are moving at a slow pace as authorities are clearing the landslides at Chamba area along the route.

Officials told INS that landslide took place at chamba area while men and machinery are at work.

Traffic is through, an official said, but at a slow pace as we are clearing the blockade.

 

“Traffic has not been halted, but the slides do keep coming at intervals so we have to keep clearing. Traffic is moving slowly,” He said.
