Birch Blasters Burzhama enter final of JKPL-1

Srinagar: The first semi final of JKPL-1 was played between Birch Blasters Burzhama and Elegant Strikers at Green Valley Educational Institute. Elegant Strikers won the toss and elected to field first. Birch Blasters Burzhama managed to post a huge total of 220/8 runs. Ishtiyaq Rasool (69 of 28 balls) and Adil Ganguly and Jehangir Lone (56 of 29 and 56 of 31 balls) were the top run scorers for their team. For Elegant Strikers Amir Aziz and Owais Shah took 2 wickets each. In reply Elegant Strikers were bundled out on 137 runs only and lost the match by 83 runs. Khalid Bhat (38 of 21 balls) and Asim Bashir (28 of 20 balls) were the highest run scorers. Rouf Bashir (chadoora) bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets which also include 2nd hat trick of JKPL1. Ishtiyaq for his outstanding batting performance was awarded as Man of the Match. Rouf Bashir was given Best bowler and Game changer of the match.
