JKPL Edition 1: Mayid Rayan Warriors, Bird Enterprises Win Matches

Srinagar : Two matches were played in the ongoing J&K premier league on Sunday. The first match was played between Mayid Rayan Warriors and Emmsons City Hunks. After winning the toss, Emmsons City Hunks decided to field first. Mayid Rayan Warriors posted a total of 158 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Tehseen Dar scored 50 of 45 balls while Zamin scored 33 of 27 balls.For Emmons City Hunks Mudasir Gojree and Faisal Dar claimed 2 wickets each. Chasing the target, Emmsons City Hunks fell short by 13 runs. Faisal Dar 47 of 24 balls and Mudasir Gojree made 28 of just 22 balls. For Mayid Rayan Warriors Mohammad Tahir Bhat was pick of the bowlers and claimed 3 wickets giving only 15 runs in 4 overs while Umar Nazir picked up 2 wickets. Mohammad Tahir Bhat for his outstanding bowling performance was declared as Man of the Match.

The second match was played between Bird Enterprises and Shape Up Fitness Cricket Club. Bird Enterprises won the toss and elected to bat. They posted a target of 184 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Suhail Bazmi (61 of 43 balls) and Najmu Saqib (36 of 21 balls) were among the leading run scorers. For Shape Up Fitness Cricket Club Zufiyaan took 2 wickets. Chasing the target, Shape Up Fitness Cricket Club fell short of 7 runs . Adil Khan (64 of 30) and Zufiyan Rashid (38 of 17) were top scrorers for thier team. Rouf and Tajamul took 2 wickets for Bird Enterprises. Najm us Saqib for his outstanding allround performance was adjudged as man of the match.
