137 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, One Death Reported In J&K

Srinagar, July 30: Jammu and Kashmir reported 137 new covid-19 cases even as one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said 58 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 79 from Kashmir Valley, taking the case tally to 321344.

Providing the district-wide details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 26 cases, Baramulla 15, Budgam 7, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 8, Kulgam 13, Shopian 0, Jammu 13, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 8, Doda 14, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 4, Ramban 2 and Reasi 14.

Regarding the fresh death due to the virus, they said, it was reported from Jammu division. So far 4378 people have fallen victim to the pathogen in J&K—2142 in Jammu division and 2236 in Kashmir.

Moreover, they said, 109 more COVID-19 patients in last 24 hours have recovered— 58  from Jammu Division and 79 from Kashmir, taking the number of people who have recovered in J&K to 315795. With this, there are now 1171 active cases—458 in Jammu and 713 in Kashmir.

There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 35 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
