Srinagar, July 23: Gunmen suspected to be militants shot dead an employee in education department in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday evening, officials said.

They said the gunmen barged inside the residence of the Javaid Ahmed Malik son of Ghulam Mohammad Malik at Lurgam Tral at around 2135 hours and fired upon him.  The 35-year-old, working in education department (GHS Khalil), was shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral where doctors brought him dead.

A police official confirming it said that a case has been registered and investigation taken up.
