Srinagar: An appeal has been made to the  Lt. Governor J&K UT Manoj Sinha asking to avail services of Khidmat Centres and Common Services Centre in registering 10% population of J&K  which are not in the database of Ayushman Bharat which is based on SECC 2011.

Virender Langoo, Life Member national association for the blind, said that Govt has launched the health scheme Ayushman Bharat-Sehat for all people of J&K.

The registration process is done through the Common Services Centre, the Nodal agency for registering and delivering cards all over India.

“About 10% population of J&K are not in the database of Ayushman Bharat which is based on SECC 2011.  Govt. has enrolled the process for inclusion of the left out population  Their names are added in the database of Ayushman Bharat-Sehat scheme but they are not able to register themselves, as the process of registering is through hospitals and not through the CSCs,” he said.

He pointed out that people are hesitant to visit with family in hospitals due to COVID-19 and non-serious attitude of staff of hospitals

He requested Govt to allow the registration process through the CSCs and Kidhmat Centres, ‘who are setup in the far flung areas of the State and they have done tremendous job in enrolling the people in the Scheme.’

“They  have given home service to the disable and sick people who cannot visit to their centers for registration,” he claimed.
