Srinagar, July 09: Authorities on Friday ordered covid-19 vaccination drive on “war footing” basis in Darulalooms, Orphanages, Asharams, Gurduwaras, Churches and Juvinile Homes in Kashmir Division.

“In order to take further measures for containment of possible resurgence of Covid-19 cases (3rd Wave), a need has been felt to carry-out vaccination drive in Darulalooms, Orphanages, Asharams, Gurduwaras, Churches & Juvinile homes in Kashmir Division, so that the staff as well as students in these religious institutions can be vaccinated well in time,” Director Health services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather said in a Circular.

“Therefore, it is impressed upon all the Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents & Block Medical Officers to carryout vaccination drive upon the staff/eligible students working in all the religious institutions fall in their respective districts on war footing basis, so that the staff/eligible students are kept away from the possible 3rd wave variants,” the Circular adds.
