Srinagar, June 23: The 25-year-old youth, who was shot at and injured by unknown gunmen in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar on Wednesday evening, succumbed at a hospital, official said.

Confirming it, Medical Superintendent SHMS Hospital Dr Kawaljeet Singh said the youth, Umar Ahmad, was brought dead to the hospital.

It was not immediately known as to why the youth, shopkeeper by profession, was shot at. A police officer confirmed the incident and said that investigations have been started.
