No internet shutdown or downgrading of speed in Kashmir: Police

Srinagar, June 23: Police on Wednesday set to rest rumours about internet shutdown and reducing its speed in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday in view All Party Meeting being chaired by prime Minister Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“There will be no internet shutdown or downgrading of speed,” Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar said. The clarification comes as rumours about internet shutdown were flying thick and fast on social media, causing unease among the people, especially student community who are dependent on internet for online classes amid covid-19 pandemic.
