The annual plan lays emphasis on various components under the scheme namely- Per Drop More Crop (PDMC), Har Khet Ko Paani (HKKP), Integrated Watershed Management Plan (IWMP) and Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP).
In the current financial year, the Department has proposed bringing 15,446 Ha additional areas under irrigation through construction of irrigation pump sets, bore wells, community water harvesting tanks, and drip and sprinkler irrigation. It will benefit 16,000 farm families and will increase production by 30% by saving 70%-90% water available for irrigation.
