Srinagar, June 2: A policeman was injured after fired by a suspect during questioning in SOG camp at Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday, officials said.

“One suspect during questioning snatched weapon of one policeman and fired upon in which one constable was injured,” Inspector General of Police Kashmir zone Vijay Kumar said, as per a local news agency.

“SSP Awantipora is trying to make him surrender. No other policemen inside room and there is no hostage situation,” he said. The injured policeman has been identified as Amjid Ahmad.
