Nine civilians, including women and children, were killed in a roadside bomb blast in the southern province of Helmand on Thursday morning, a source from the province said.

The blast happened in Bushran area in Lashkargah city’s District 10 when a civilian vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb, the source said.

“Two more children were wounded in the blast,” the source said.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.
