Srinagar: 12 Bharatiya Janata Party candidates have been declared winners in the Watergam Municipal Committee of Baramulla district.

Officials said that BJP won 11 of the 13 wards uncontested while only one ward that was contested also went to BJP.

Meanwhile one of the 13 wards of the committee remained uncontested.

Meanwhile seven independent candidates and six Congress candidates were declared victorious in the 13 municipal wards of Uri in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials said that Bharatiya Janata Party could not open its account in this northern Kashmir town.
