CISF personnel injured in misfire by colleague at NHPC Uri

Srinagar, May 7: A paramilitary CISF personnel was injured in a misfire during cleaning of rifle by his colleague at NHPC Uri in Baramulla district on Friday, officials said.

A police official said that one constable Manjunath was cleaning his rifle when a bullet went and hit on rebound from a wall to his colleague identified as Sandeep Dutta. The injured was taken to district hospital Baramulla where his condition is stated to be normal. “The fire hit on his left hip after rebound from the wall,” the official added.
