Srinagar: Islamic Fraternity condoled the sad demise of Mukhtar Ahmad, a well-known philanthropist from Lal Bazar and General Secretary of charity organization, Athrout.
Mukhtar Ahmad, a jeweller by profession, was the founding member of Athrout and has been wholeheartedly donating to several organizations including IF, working for the welfare of the society.
In his condolence message, President IF, Muhammad Aamir, said that Mukhtar Sahib was a dedicated, pious and hard-working personality who would devote most of his time in humanitarian and charity works.
“He was the backbone of many charity, Islamic and welfare organizations, not just Athrout only, in Kashmir. He was always ready to help anyone and everyone regardless of identities. His death was as shocking to me as to his relatives and well-wishers,” Aamir said.
He said that Mukhtar Sahib’s contribution to the humanitarian work will be remembered for years to come and that his loss will be a big setback to the people and to the organizations who he donated to keep their works running.
Aamir requested people to not take this pandemic casually as he is personal witness to the devastation it causes, and appealed them to follow all the guidelines to keep coronavirus away.
