Jammu and Kashmir Logs 195 Fresh Covid-19 Cases

Srinagar, Mar 24: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 195 fresh covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours as the progressive surge in infections continue in last more than week now. For the eighth consecutive day, the J&K has reported over 100 covid-19 cases and among the 195 fresh cases, 31 are travelers which the overall tally to 129031, officials said on Wednesday.

Of these cases, 49 were from Jammu Division and 146 from Kashmir Division, they said.

Giving the district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 77 cases including 23 travelers, Baramulla 29, Budgam 16, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 15, Anantnag 3, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 1, Shopian 0, Jammu 35 (4 travelers), Udhampur 0, Rajouri 2, Doda 1, Kathua 2, Samba 2, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 3, Ramban 2, and Reasi 1.

Moreover, they said, 92 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—23 from Jammu Division and 69 from Kashmir Valley.

So far, 125535 persons have recovered—51415 in Jammu and 74120 in Kashmir. There are 1513 active cases—357 in Jammu division and 1156 in the Valley while 1983 people have died, 732 in Jammu division and 1251 in the Valley.
