Visual Treat: Almond Flowers Bloom In Badam Waer

Situated on foothills of Koh-e-Maran, Badam Waer is the first to reverberate with life with the onset of the spring season in Kashmir
The almond flower is a delicate, having pale-blush petals.
When in bloom, the whole tree looks like a prettily-painted umbrella
Historians maintain there is no record to suggest who laid the garden but they say it existed even before the rule of Sultan Zain-ul-Abidin in the 14th century.
After months of harsh winter, when locals are hurdled under blankets inside their houses, the arrival of spring gives people a reason to celebrate life
