Jammu, Mar 13: Two persons were killed and four others injured after an truck hit them near Narwal Jammu on Saturday.

Officials said that the accident apparently occurred after the driver lost the control over truck due to break failure. While all the injured persons have been shifted to JMC Jammu, the bodies of the two persons were shifted to mortuaries and would be handed over to the respective families for the last rites after completion of the medico-legal formalities.

The deceased persons have been identified as Suraj Parkash (45) son of Gyan Chand of Chowki Chora Jammu and Bodh Raj (40) son of Krishan Lal of Kathyal R.s Pura.

The injured include Yogesh Thakur (20) son of Kikar Singh of Billawar at present Digiana Jammu, Raj Kumar (22) son of Girdhari Lal age of Kathyal R.S Pura Jammu, Bishamber Singh (50) son of Bahadur Singh of Kathyal R.S Pura Jammu and Vicky Sharma son of Madan Lal of Kathyal R.s Pura Jammu.

Police said that a case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
