Keru HEP: 80:20 ratio of Locals: Non Locals shall be ensured in recruitment process

Kishtwar: The Grievances Redressal Committee (GRC) headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Dr Amir Hussain today visited the site of Keru Hydro Electricity Project(HEP) and redressed the grievances of locals.
He was accompanied by other members of committee including Dy. SP, Hqrs, Devender Singh and Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Anoop Kumar.
Among others who were present on the occasion were BDC Chairperson, Nagseni Ashraf Hussain; DDC member, Nagseni, Faisal Hussain; GM CVPP Keru, Raj Mal and HR Head Patel Engineering Ltd, Reshi Sharma.
The locals projected several grievances seeking preference to local youth while making recruitment in the project, payment of pending compensation under Resettlement and Rehabilitation Plan, Water supply scheme for adjoining hamlets, repair of HS Patharnaki building, protection wall along the Link Road to Keru project site among others.
Responding to the grievances of people, the ACR said that 80:20 ratio of (Locals: Non Locals) shall be ensured by committee in recruitment process at all stages. Various components of R&R plan were also discussed in the meeting and participants were informed that Water crisis, repair of HS Patharnaki building, payment of pending compensation, construction of protection wall etc shall be ensured in time bound manner.
The ACR also inspected HS Patharnaki and other structures pending for dismantling. He further assured the participants that the camp will hold monthly camp to review action taken report of each month.
