2 youths beaten up by army during search operation in Bandipora

Bandipora: Two youths were allegedly thrashed by army during a search operation in Bandipora district of north Kashmir on Saturday.
People also accused government forces of “highhandedness” during the operation in Watapora area, comprising several villages.
They said that around 5 a.m., forces launched the search operation in Kosapora, Chana Mohallaha and Gulshanabad Area of Watapora area.
Locals alleged that when the forces found nothing, they beat up two youths and hurled abuses on them.
Meanwhile, army denied the allegations as baseless. “These are base allegations,” an army officer said.
