Siblings stab their uncle in Poonch over land dispute

Poonch, Feb 13: Two brothers allegedly stabbed a man, their maternal uncle, with a knife over a land dispute in Poonch district on Saturday, officials said.
They said that police received information that at around 1120 hours that one person namely Haji Mohammad Iqbal (60) son of Jaan Mohammad was stabbed with a knife by two brothers over a land dispute at their native village, Gohlad Qasim Nagar.
The man was shifted to SDH Mendhar wherefrom he was shifted to GMC Rajouri, BMO Mendhar Dr P A Khan, said.
Station House Officer Mendhar Manzoor Kohli told a local news agency that a case (FIR No. 45/2021) under section 307, 34, 452, 323 IPC has been registered and further investigation is going on. He identified the accused brothers as Umar Shahban (20/22) and Qamar Shahbaz (27/28) sons of Mohammad Iliyaz. Sources said that the injured person is the maternal uncle of the accused siblings.
