Srinagar, Jan 3: As people in Kashmir Valley including Srinagar woke up to blanket of snow, aspirants appearing for online examination of banking associates in Jammu and Kashmir Bank urged authorities to postpone the examinations scheduled on Sunday. A number of aspirants said that it was nearly impossible for them to reach examination centre amid the continuous snowfall. “My reporting time at the examination venue is at 8:30 a.m. and it is impossible for me to reach there given the continuous snowfall and considerable snow depth on the ground,” one of the aspirants from Buchpora area in outskirts of Srinagar said. Another aspirant from Lal Bazar area of Srinagar said that he has to reach examination centre in Vawoosa Rangreth and it was highly unlikely that he can reach the venue. “I had arranged auto rickshaw and the driver told me that he cannot move. How can I reach the venue,” the aspirant said and requested the bank authorities to postpone the examination scheduled today. Similarly many other aspirants called the GNS office and urged the bank to cancel the examination which runs on different dates and continues at least by the end of this month.
