Work for Islam, humanity: IF President urges youths

Srinagar: The President of Islamic Fraternity, Muhammad Aamir delivered an enlightening Jummah Khutbah today at Markazi Jamia Masjid Baitul Mukaram in Lalpora Lolab of Kupwara district.
The Khutbah which was delivered on the topic ‘Muslim as a Da’ee’ was attended by a heavy gathering. During the Khutbah, Aamir highlighted the importance of interfaith and inter-cultural harmony in the society and appealed Muslims to work hard for the same.
Citing the verses of Quran and Hadith, he said that it is the responsibility of all the Muslims to spread the word of Islam to those corners and ears where it hasn’t reached yet.
“In whatever way, a Muslim has to contribute in spreading the message of Islam. S/he can’t shy away from this huge responsibility. This way, we can make life hereafter better for both- us and those who’re on wrong path,” he said.
Besides, he said, a true word of Islam has to be propagated to dispel misconceptions in the minds of those who’re not familiar about the teachings of Islam.
Later in the evening, an interactive session between IF President and some local youths was held where participating youths were appealed to work for the greater benefit of humanity in general and Islam in particular.
The youths vowed in front of IF president that they will do all in their capacity in spreading the word of Islam and will make lives of people in their community better, irrespective of their religion.
