DDC Polls: 57.22% Polling In Penultimate Phase

Jammu, Dec 16: The seventh and the penultimate phase of DDC elections recorded a voter percentage of 57.22% across 31 constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Addressing a presser, State Election Commissioner, K K Sharma, said Pulwama recorded voting percentage of 11.06%, Baramulla 59.53%, Kulgam 17.98%, Shopian 6.55%, Anantnag 22.46%, Bandipora 70.47%, Ganderbal 53.69%, Kupwara 59.23% and Budgam 45.11%.
Similarly, in Jammu division, Kishtwar has recorded voting percentage of 69.89%, Udhampur 75.63%, Jammu 68.66%, Kathua 72.85%, Ramban 67.75%, Doda 58.82%, Samba 74.38%, Poonch 80.12%, Rajouri 73.10% and Reasi 76.75%.
Moreover he informed that the Kashmir Division recorded an overall polling percentage of 39.52% while Jammu Division recorded 71.93%.
In the 7th Phase of DDC elections, voting was held in 31 DDC constituencies, 13 from Kashmir division and 18 from Jammu division, where 148 and 150 candidates were in fray respectively.
Moreover, 1852 polling stations were setup, 1068 in Kashmir division and 784 in Jammu division for smooth conduct of elections.
