Srinagar, Sept 23: Block development councilor (BDC) of Khag Budgam was shot dead near his ancestral residence at Dalwash village in the Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday late evening.
A senior police officer said that the BDC chairman Bhupinder Singh left two PSOs in police station khag and left for an ancestral home alone without informing Station House Officer khag.
Sources said that Singh used to stay at Aloochibagh Srinagar and had gone Khag today. They said that he had contested election independently but was supported by PDP.
